Usually I have a very limited number of readers on this blog, but just before the weekend I got mentioned on Paul Butzis Photo Musing in his post about Harman Gloss. The traffic went through the roof for two short days, but now the honeymoon is over and everything is back to normal. Not that I am surprised. After all, I have no illusions about how interesting my content really is, but I really enjoyed my two days of fame.
When I first started to write this blog, I only did it to organize my thoughts and train my English, but as time has passed I find it more and more fun to follow the statistics. To see which posts that generate most traffic and to see if the curves are rising. I also enjoy the occasional conversation I get with some you, and I really hope to see more of that.
Another thing I hope to get out of this blog is a more frequent print swap. I haven’t found time yet to ask if anyone is interested, but my idea was to get together a small group that swap prints on a regular basis. Maybe four times a year, the participants swap prints, and then we can spend some time commenting and discussing them. I have some ideas for how it can be organized, and some loose rules, but I’ll try to write them down in a separate post.

I know what you mean. I’ve had a couple of mentions on Paul’s website that caused a nice little spike for a couple of days.

Know what you mean about 2 days of fame / I got a mention on T.O.P. on Friday and traffic went up ten-fold for a couple of days.
Like the idea on the regular print swap/exchange. Quite a novel idea.

It kind of extends the idea of picture discussion in closed circle web forums. After all, jpegs can only get you this far.
Having prints will give another dimension to commenting, it will act as a reference for your own printing technique, and I just love to look at prints instead of computer screen.
Ooo, mentioned on TOP.. Didn’t notice that. Been too busy to read all the TOP posts lately, but I guess that will even drive more traffic than from Paul B.
