I’ve been through this before, color or b&w. What kind of photographer am I?
Do I really have to decide?
Every now and then, I change my focus and start to think more in one of the directions. Lately it’s been B&W. And the little voices in my head starts to tell me that this is what I like best. For a long time they do that, and then suddenly, they change their mind, and tell me I like the other. Aah, those voices
The point is, I like to do both color and B&W, and everything in between, and I really need to open my mind so I don’t get stuck in one direction for a long period of time, but rather use whatever fits the image best. I don’t have to choose one over the other. I find it annoying that I see this as a problem, it shouldn’t be.
So, now it is official; Color vs. B&W is not a problem, it’s an opportunity.
I think this little rant was spurred some posts over at Doonster and Singular Images, and if I remember right, Behind The Lens before that (can’t find that post right now). But since I am so incredibly slow, I didn’t catch on to until now.
